In-Store
Events
Our
next Weekend Crop
is
scheduled for Fri 7/25 to Sun 7/27. The $65 fee includes
dinner from Rocky's on Fri & Sat, hot breakfast on Sat &
Sun, snacks, prizes, a shopping discount and fun! There will
be a massage therapist available on Sunday to help reduce your
cropping stress! Call or stop in to reserve your spot!
We have opened up the crop to individual days and upgrades as
well. For an additional $10, you can have a full 8' table, or
a 6' table in our private crop room! There are only a few
spots left, so reserve yours soon!
We plan
to start offering ScrapBucks for our Scrapbook
Auction on Fri 8/1. Scrapbucks
are earned for purchases through 8/14, and can be used at the
auction to "purchase" goodies we've accumulated over the last
year (you should see how much stuff we have in the back room).
The Auction will be held on Sun 8/17 (time
TBD).
One
of our customers is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness
crop on Sun 8/10 to raise funds for
the upcoming 3-Day. The cost is $20 and includes food and
more. To sign up, call or visit the store to reserve your
spot.

Cricut Club
Cuttin'
it Up
Our
first Cricut Club Crop was great! The girls did some show
& tell, shared ideas and got a lot done. We're looking
forward to our next crop (especially as the club grows) on Sat
8/9.
At
CHA, we'll be learning about all the new Cricut products, and the
Club members will be the first to know. Look for a special
email outlining what's in store for Cricut after we return. By

New
Product Update
Wow....
this is where I usually go on and on about all the new stuff we've
received since the last newsletter. But I have to admit - I'm
a little relieved we haven't received a lot in the last couple
weeks. The reason? We're ordering tons of new stuff at
CHA this weekend! With that said, there are a couple new
arrivals.
We
received the new Defining Sports line from Scrappin Sports', which
includes prom, dance, water sports and more (very cute double-sided
papers).  We've
expanded our selection of Nestabilities and large shape
punches. We received the new stencils from Crafter's Workshop
(adorable modern shapes). We've also replenished some of
the Creative Imaginations stock that sold out (too quickly).
So if you're looking for fun stickers to go with the Narratives
collections and more, they're back!
Keep
your eye out for our next Newsletter. It will have a CHA recap
on what we found that was the latest and greatest. New
products will start to arrive when we return, and will continue to
arrive at least weekly over the next few months. You can
also stay current on new arrivals by visiting
our blog. I
might even have a chance to post updates from the show this

Tips
& Tricks
Most
people use expanding scrapbooks, and the majority of those out there
are post-bound. After adding more page protectors, photos,
embellishments, etc., you might find your book looking a little
lopsided. This is a common problem, but has an easy fix.
Most refill packs come with a couple strips of cardboard. If
they don't, you can cut your own. I insert a cardboard strip
into the binding between every 4-5 pages. This raises the
binding edge so your book closes  and
lays flat. If your an embellisher (buttons and chipboard add
more bulk), you'll find yourself adding a little more chipboard
between pages. Make sure your posts are long enough for the
contents of your book. As you add more packages of
inserts, you'll need to extend the length of your posts using
expanders, larger posts or snap-load inserts. Also, make sure
you are using the appropriate inserts for the album. I always
recommend using the same brand to make sure they fit properly.
Most companies' refills are different, and a small measurement can
mean the difference between your pages laying flat or curling up
when you open them.
