CAFE Mixed Media Album, taught by Hailey Mann

You have asked for canvas, acrylic, fabric, etc....so here it is the new C.A.F.E' Mixed Medium Album Workshop. In this workshop you will learn so many techniques and use mediums that in the past you may not have thought to incorporate into your scrapbooking.

We will incorporate fabric, watercolor crayons, water-soluble oil pastels, and other fun mediums items into your albums. I will also teach you how to create hand made pages using canvas and fabric along with creating 4 different types of hand made flowers to accent your pages.

In the workshop students will make a 6 page album approximately 8"x 8" using a combination of canvas, acrylic, fabric, and chipboard. All of the techniques learned can easily be translated to 12x12 or 8.5 x 11 layouts.

This is an intermediate class. Students are encouraged to bring a sewing machine, as we will have time in class to sew the canvas and fabric pages. Only basic sewing skills are needed. Students will also need to bring a sewing needle and white thread for hand sewing flowers and embellishments.

Please email me at hailey@paper-and-glue.com if you have any questions about what to bring to the class.

Wear an apron and be prepared to have fun :)  See below for class supply list.

Participants should bring:

Favorite acrylic paints, nonstick craft mat, Glimmer Mist (recommend Marshmallow and Candy Apple, but your choice), Sewing Machine (optional), red and white water-soluble pastels, heat gun, Crop-O-Dile (or similar), book text, Multi-Medium, paint brushes, your favorite water-color crayons, Zip Dry adhesive, Gesso, Black Bamboo ink (optional), 5 coordinating sheets of your favorite patterned paper, scissors, craft knife, tiny attacher or stapler, any circle punches you have ranging from 3/8" to 3" (to avoid hand-cutting), and a paper trimmer.  Hailey will also be using 3 different Martha Stewart butterfly punches (optional), which are the Lg Double Monarch, Classic & Small Double-Punch Monarch.  These can be ordered through the store, as well as most of the other supplies, when requested at least 2 weeks before class.
