2009 Scrappy Chic Design Team Search

Are friends amazed by your creativity?  Do your pages inspire others?  If so, we want to see your work!  We're holding an open call for new Design Team Members!  Each month, our DT members are given products to create innovative store samples.  The new Design Team's assignments will begin in February.  New for 2009:  We are looking to add one or two in-store demonstrators to help teach customers new techniques and products, and to create interesting projects and kits.

If you're interested in becoming a member of the Scrappy Chic Design Team, you may apply by completing the form below, and creating three layouts using the following guidelines:

  1. Show us your creativity!  Create a layout using chipboard (letters, shapes, etc.) or acetate (transparency).  On your layout, show at least two different innovative ways to use the chipboard or acetate.

  2. Show us your versatility!  Create a layout using products from at least 5 different manufacturers.

  3. Show us your originality!  Create a layout using primarily one manufacturer's products.  The layout must include at least 4 different products from that manufacturer (patterned paper, rub-ons, sticker alphabets, sticker accents, chipboard alphas, accents, etc. are all considered different products). Use 1 or 2 of your favorite techniques on the layout.

  4. (Optional) Create an altered project, of any type.  Be creative - there are no limits.

Each layout should be one page, and can be 8.5x11 or 12x12.  There are no restrictions on the altered project.  Updated: Drop off the originals at the store (your entries will be returned to you after a decision is made).  You will also need to complete and submit the information below (you can copy and paste into a new document):

We will accept submissions beginning January 2, 2009, and entries are due by Saturday, January 31, 2009.  Beginning Sunday, February 1st, Chris and the staff will review the candidates and will make the final decision within a week.  The new members will be announced on or around February 7, 2009.  Good luck!
