Golden Ticket Contest Rules 2008

Description
The Scrappy Chic “Golden Ticket” Contest (hereafter referred to as “Contest”) will award one grand prize winner one year of free scrapbooking in our store. All other Golden Ticket holders will win a prize as stated below.

Promotion Period
The promotion period begins November 1, 2008 at 10:00am. Golden Ticket holders may enter any between then and November 13, 2008 during normal business hours. The winners will be drawn on the November 14, 2008 at noon.  Winners will be notified within a week of the drawing.

Eligibility
No purchase necessary to win. Subject to the other requirements stated elsewhere in these Official Rules, entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. To be eligible to win, Scrappy Chic must receive entries in the format designated below. Employees of Scrappy Chic, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers or their immediate families are not eligible. By entering, entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Scrappy Chic, which are final and binding.  By entering the Contest, entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Scrappy Chic, their legal representatives, their affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, sponsors, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages which may arise out of participation in the Contest, or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of contest prizes.

Disqualification
Scrappy Chic may prohibit entrants from participating in the Promotion and disqualify entries if they do not follow the rules of the contest or if they attempt to enter the Promotion through means not described in the rules, attempt to disrupt the contest or circumvent the rules, or act in an un-sportsmanlike manner or with an intent to annoy or harass any other entrant, affiliated parties or employees of Scrappy Chic. Each Golden Ticket is numbered. All entries found to be duplicated, tampered with, or altered in any way will be void and ineligible for the contest.  Ticket holders are responsible for their own ticket, and replacements will not be given under any circumstances. 

How to Enter
Scrappy Chic will hold an event on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at which specially wrapped treats will be distributed to a total of 200 persons. Each treat will contain a coupon or a Golden Ticket valid for one entry in the drawing for the grand prize. These specially wrapped treats will be distributed on a first come, first served basis at Scrappy Chic.  Only one specially wrapped treat per person is allowed per contest.  Each coupon or offer, found in the wrapper, will be valid on goods purchased at Scrappy Chic. Golden Tickets should be kept safe until turned in for an official entry form to the store, located at 33509 W. Eight Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48152, to be entered in the Contest drawing. Golden Ticket holders will turn in their ticket to a store employee to obtain an official entry form for the drawing, which is to be completed in full. Entries are placed in a secured container until the drawing is held on November 14, 2008. Winners will be selected, at random, from those Golden Ticket Holders who have properly completed their entry forms according to these rules herein.

Release/Limitation of Liability
By entering, each entrant further agrees that, in the event there is any conflict or other inconsistency between the Official Contest Rules and any advertisements, promotional or marketing materials, e-mails, or announcements relevant to this Promotion, these Official Contest Rules will govern. 

Prizes
One Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize will grant the winner free crop and/or class fees for a period of approximately one year, from the date of our anniversary until November 13th, 2009 at 11:59pm. The Grand Prize winner may choose up to 52 qualifying classes and/or crops, the value of which is not to exceed a total of $2,000, during the redemption period. Qualifying classes and crops are those held in our store which do not exceed $35 each, and do not exceed one business day. Advanced reservations are required. Three Runner-Up Prizes will be awarded from the Golden Ticket entries. Each Runner Up will receive a gift card valid for $100 to use toward any crops and/or classes held in our store. Advanced reservations are required. All other Golden Ticket entrants will receive a coupon to be used in our store. Offer details will be printed on each coupon. All other specially wrapped chocolate bars will contain a coupon valid on goods and services at Scrappy Chic.  Winners do not need to be present at drawing to win; they must only present their ticket and complete their entry in person to provide proof of eligibility.

Winner Notification and Redemption
Grand Prize and Runners Up winners will be notified by phone, mail or email. Grand Prize and Runner Up winners must acknowledge acceptance of their prize by providing photo identification, in person, as proof of eligibility. Grand Prize Winner may be asked to have their photograph taken to be placed on a card which be used as proof of their status as Golden Ticket winner. Runner Up winners must also provide proof of eligibility, in person, and agree to have their photograph taken and to receive their gift card, issued by Scrappy Chic, valued at $100, which may be used only toward classes and crops held in the store. The remainder of the Golden Ticket entrants will be notified by mail or email, and must pick up their coupon at the store during business hours.

Rights of Scrappy Chic
Scrappy Chic reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, or suspend Contest should causes beyond the control of Scrappy Chic interfere in the administration, security or proper participation in Contest. Scrappy Chic is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in Contest.

Odds of Winning
Golden Ticket: 1 in 4; Grand Prize: 1 in 200; Runner Up Prize: 1 in 66.7. Every other specially wrapped treat contains at least a coupon or special offer to be used in the store.

Tax Information
Payment of all taxes and fees on prizes won are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners must check with their own tax counsel to ascertain whether a prize will generate taxable income, and, if so, the amount.

Publication
Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for Scrappy Chic, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies to use winner's name and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. Each winner further grants to Scrappy Chic the right to use and publish his or her identity and home city and home state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with this and other Promotions.

Scrappy Chic is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged coupons. Coupons and awards, including Golden Ticket winner card, are not replaceable if lost, stolen or damaged. Except where prohibited by law, Scrappy Chic makes no warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of the promotion prize including, but not limited to, quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular prize. Under no circumstances will Scrappy Chic or any affiliated persons or entities be liable for: (1) electronic, computer, telephone, network, internet or other technical or human error(s) which may occur in connection with the Promotion; (2) any injury or damage to person or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, from participation or attempted participation in the Promotion; (3) inaccurate, incomplete, lost or stolen entries or other information related to the Promotion; (4) illegitimate entries (which will be disqualified); (5) punitive, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
