Sherry Steveson to teach at Scrappy Chic!

Sherry Steveson has been passionate about scrapbooking for over ten years. Finding a hobby that merged her love for photography with her gift of writing, all wrapped up in a creative outlet was the catalyst for a life long devotion. Her work has been published in many of the major scrapbook magazines and idea books and always brings a thrill to her family when they see their faces on the pages of those publications, and she is the author of When Life Gives You Lemons and the recently released The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook  (Memory Makers Books). She has also found her calling in the world of teaching scrapbooking to others. Sherry currently maintains a blog at www.sherrysteveson.typepad.com . When she isn’t writing, scrapbooking or teaching, she has a very full schedule with her three children and husband’s landscape business and training to run a marathon.

Class #1 When Life Gives You Lemons; Making Lemonade
In this class, you will learn the 10 most common photo flaws that plague most scrapbookers and photographers alike. Solutions for scrapbooking these photo flaws include design focused ideas, journaling emphasized layouts and Photoshop tricks for fixing imperfect photos. We will tackle multiple photo flaws within one photo and show you through examples how to create stunning scrapbook pages. Student should bring 2-3 lemon photos 2hours  Each student receives a copy of When Life Gives You Lemons with each Lemon Class series taken.

Class #2 The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook 101
In this class, we explore 8 different embellishments in a tag mini book which will serve as an excellent reference book for inspiration. The ideas will range from simple 2-3 step techniques up to techniques that involve 4 or 5 steps. The student will walk away with enough ideas to jumpstart their creativity and enable them to use up their stash of embellishments. We will also share a simple, unembellished layout and show you in how to take that layout from ordinary to extraordinary.  3 hours ** Students please bring: pencil, black pen, scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive (liquid and photo mounting), x-acto knife. **Optional: Crop-a-dile if you have access to one.

Class #3 The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook 201
In this class, we will take embellishments to a whole new level with out of the box ideas.  This isn't your momma's scrapbook!  The mini album will feature 10 different embellishment techniques that are unique and will spark your creativity.  The goal of this class is to enable the scrapbooker to see their embellishments in a whole new light.  Each participant is asked to bring a 'simple' layout with only 1-3 embellishments added to the page.  We will take each layout and show you how to 'embellish' them during class.  You will see your page transformed right before your eyes.  3 hours ** Students please bring: pencil, black pen, scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive (liquid and photo mounting), x-acto knife. **Optional: Crop-a-dile if you have access to one.

Participants who need to cancel must do so at least 48 hours prior to their class to receive a class/crop credit.  Refunds or credits will not be offered for cancellations within 48 hours of any of the classes above.
