Jenn Shurkus Returns to Teach!
Scrappy Chic is happy to welcome Guest Instructor, Jenn Shurkus, back to Michigan! Jenn is a super talented designer and artist who loves to share her expertise with others. She offers both in-person classes and events as well as virtual classes throughout the year and we are super excited she has chosen to teach in-person with us! Jenn will be here October 18-20, 2024. Registration is now open!* She is offering two different classes, Autumn Breeze & Coffee Please and Sweet Holiday Wishes. Each class will be offered three times, so you can choose Friday, Saturday or Sunday classes. In each class, you will color and complete three cards. Jenn will offer lots of tips and tricks for card making along the way. The prep work (stamped and die cut images and cut background papers) will already be done for you. Jenn will be teaching coloring with Copic markers! Jenn has taught virtually dozens of times in the last few years and found that her students are enjoying and benefiting from her Copic Marker coloring techniques. For her in-person classes, Jenn will be focusing on teaching these techniques while students make three detailed cards in each class featuring both new and older, adorable, Lawn Fawn products. Students will also receive coloring guides in each class- a fantastic resource! We highly recommend that students have the Copic Markers that Jenn will be using. If students choose to bring another brand of markers or another coloring medium, Jenn will do her best to help, but please be aware that in order to keep classes moving, she cannot dedicate much time to this.
For a list of student required and optional supplies, including Copic marker colors, please see class descriptions. We know that there are a lot of places you can buy craft supplies. We strongly encourage you to buy these class supplies from us at Scrappy Chic so that we can continue to bring in guest instructors in the future. We do our best to have everything you will need for class (as well as items you are Jennabled to buy) on hand but it's often hard to anticipate what quantities we will be needed. If you have a list of things you would like for us to have for you, please email us at info@scrappychiclivonia.com. As always, we do offer 10% off merchandise purchased on class days and would extend this offer for any presale lists as well.
*Please note our cancellation policy for Jenn's visit: As with every class at our store, no refunds will be given. Cancellations received before close of business on 10/4/24 will receive crop/class credit or a class kit for pick up. Please let us know which option you would prefer. No credit will be given for classes canceled after that date unless we can fill your seat from a wait list. If we do not have a wait list, we will hold a class kit for you to pick up.
