Dina Wakley Returns to Teach!
Scrappy Chic is happy to welcome Guest Instructor, Dina Wakley, back to Michigan! Dina is a mixed-media artist and teacher. She loves everything about art: creating it, thinking about it, looking at it, and teaching it. She has been scrapbooking since 1995, stamping since 1996, and art journaling since 2004. She believes in writing yourself down, expressing yourself, and making your mark on the world. As a Ranger Signature Designer, Dina designs a line of mixed-media art supplies that includes acrylic paints, mediums, brushes, rubber stamps, stencils, and more.
Dina will be teaching 4 classes over the course of 2 days while she is here: Seeing Clearly, Classic Composition in Abstract Paintings, Turning Stamped Images into Paintings, and Layered Abstract Flowers. Please see our website {here} for more information on each class and to sign up. Dina will provide substrates as well as some shared supplies to use in class, please read the student supply list in each class description for the additional items that you are responsible to bring. As always with classes at Scrappy Chic, students will receive 10% off merchandise purchases on class day. We appreciate you supporting our store and enabling us to bring in amazing guest instructors. Class days will go as follows: am class (3 hours), lunch break (1 hour), pm class (3 hours). You are welcomed and encouraged to take both classes each day, but please be prepared to leave the classroom during the lunch break so that we can prepare the room for the afternoon class. When arriving for the afternoon class, please note that the classroom will be closed until just before class time.
Class registration is now open and seating is limited! Early bird pricing* of $85 per class is offered through the end of business on June 22. After that, class price increases to $90, so book early! *no coupons or discounts given on early bird pricing.
*Please note our cancellation policy for Dina's visit: As with every class at our store, no refunds will be given. Cancellations received before close of business on 6/30/23 will receive crop/class credit. No credit will be given for classes canceled after that date unless we can fill your seat from a wait list.
